Mr. Herb Zuhl has a phenomenal collection of petrified wood, fossils, minerals, and other geological exhibits. Much of his collection has been stored outside of the public view. This new 1,800 s.f. gallery addition allows many more artifacts to be available to be enjoyed by the public. The addition connects to the existing exhibit space, but allows for the gallery to have an independent entry and restrooms from the NMSU Alumni Visitors’ Center. The addition is designed to respect the architectural style of the existing building and University standards while proving a unique presence to the gallery collection.
